Job Summary:
As the philanthropic arm to Wellstar Health System, the Wellstar Foundation is partnering with donors and supporters to address the most pressing healthcare needs in Georgia, including health equity, innovation, behavioral health and workforce development. Every dollar donated to the Foundation directly supports programs, initiatives and clinical advancements to ensure the health and wellbeing of our communities for generations to come. The Foundation Intern is an active member of the Wellstar Foundation team and will support special projects for communications, events, development, donor engagement and operations. This person will have exposure to fundraising basics in a healthcare fundraising environment as well as opportunities to build professional presence and skills through projects, communications and events support. The role reports through the Foundation's communications and events team. The Foundation Intern may be considered for a full-time position should one become available.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Assist in Supporting Foundation team with the following:
- Event planning and execution
- Research and analysis of donors or programs
- Communications and stewardship activities
- Annual giving programs and donor engagement
- Presentation development and delivery
