- The Transfer Center RN is responsible for ensuring the proper placement of patients coming from various external locations, including hospitals and clinics.
- This role involves collaboration with house supervisors, bed management, and other healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with EMTALA regulations.
- The RN will work to reduce placement errors by assessing the appropriateness of patient transfers and placements.

âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in nursing and at least three years of experience coordinating hospital transfers or working in an Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.
- A current Georgia Registered Nursing License or a qualifying multi-state compact license is required for this position.
- Candidates should possess a certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience in Utilization Management, Utilization Review, or Case Management is preferred, indicating a well-rounded background in patient care and hospital operations.
- The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively liaise between transferring entities and physicians.
