- The Transfer Center RN is responsible for ensuring the proper placement of patients coming from various external locations, including hospitals and clinics.
- This role involves acting as a liaison between Augusta University Medical Center (AUMC) and transferring entities to minimize placement errors.
- The RN will work closely with the house supervisor, bed management, and bed czar to ensure compliance with EMTALA regulations.

- The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in nursing and at least three years of experience coordinating hospital transfers or working in an Emergency Department or ICU as a Registered Nurse.
- A current Georgia Registered Nursing License or a qualifying multi-state compact license is required for this position.
- Candidates should possess a certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience in Utilization Management (UM), Utilization Review (UR), or Case Management is preferred, indicating a well-rounded background in patient care and management.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with transferring entities and physicians.
