Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Hiram, Georgia is seeking a PRN Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist. Shift & Days: Various - PRN as needed.
Job Summary: The Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist reports directly to program Manager, in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts. Key responsibilities of the role include providing age appropriate, patient specific care that addresses the biological, emotional, psychological, physical fitness, and educational needs of the patients/family; collaboration with system care partners such as health psychology, diabetes education, and other wellness programs to ensure patients have access to all areas in the continuum of care. Through partnering with the multidisciplinary team of professionals, the development of individualized goal-oriented care plans and exercise prescriptions, the Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist is central to the success of each patient in the Cardiac Rehab program.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree Exercise Science or related field Required
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Upon Hire is Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) within 180 Days Required
Required Minimum Experience: Experience in exercising special populations including cardiac, geriatric, and diabetic patients. Required and Must possess knowledge of EKG, CAD, blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring and treatment options. Required and Cardiac Rehab experience Preferred Group exercise leadership and public speaking experience Preferred
Required Minimum Skills: Knowledge of coronary heart disease, cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography, and exercising special cardiac populations. The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude.
