✨ About The Role
- The Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide treatment to patients primarily in the Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) and may cover the Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital (IRH) as needed.
- Responsibilities include following established treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and communicating with team members and physicians.
- The role involves mentoring interns and providing direct supervision, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participation in performance improvement initiatives and weekend/holiday service rotation is expected.
- The position requires preparation of equipment orders and communication with vendors and other healthcare professionals.

- The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy and a minimum of one year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- A current GA OTA License or eligibility is required, along with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- The successful individual will demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively educate patients, families, and staff.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in long-term acute care hospitals, is preferred.
- The candidate should be proactive in addressing patient needs and documenting progress in a timely manner.
