Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Maintains acceptable accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Uses clinical/theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret, and report lab data.
• Practices information monitoring, investigation, resolution, and hand-off to team members.
• Contributes to the Laboratory's Performance Improvements and inspection readiness.
• Maintains current personal training, education and practice of policies and procedures.

Required Minimum Education

• Bachelors Medical Technology or Bachelors Other

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)

• MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist or MT(AMT) - Medical Technologist or MT(AAB) - Medical Technologist or MT(HEW) - Medical Technologist or MLS(ASCP) - Medical Laboratory Scientist or MLS(AMT) - Medical Laboratory Scientist

Additional License(s) and Certification(s)

Persons who possess the technologist qualifications and have recently moved into the state and certified by that state (with NY, FL, CA license) or have recently completed the academic and training/experience requirements from an accredited MLS program may be temporarily classified once as technologists for eighteen (18) months to afford the persons an opportunity to successfully complete an approved qualifying examination. within 1-1/2 Yrs Required.

Minimum 1 year Laboratory experience Required

Required Minimum Skills

Computer/data entry experience. Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team. Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge. Epic experience preferred.
