Job Summary:

This role supports the Executive Director of Internal Communications in designing and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy. Responsibilities include developing and delivering timely, engaging messages that keep internal audiences informed of system updates, industry developments, leadership changes, and organizational priorities. The position manages communication channels and oversees the planning, writing, and execution of campaigns, town halls, system meetings, and leadership events. It also involves sourcing and curating content in partnership with clinical and service line communications, while ensuring effective use of the WellStar intranet and digital screens. Additionally, the role provides recommendations to enhance senior leadership visibility and engagement beyond headquarters, ensuring consistent and impactful communication across the organization.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

* Develop and execute plans to communicate important news and developments that impact key internal audiences - including system news, industry news that affects our business, changes in leadership, etc., and/ or leadership messages * Manage channels, timing, frequency and delivery of system messages. * Work with team to develop, plan, write system campaigns and updates. * Support planning and messaging for townhalls, system meetings and leadership events. * Work with team to source content and execute in a timely way * Partner clinical and Service Line communications in the development and distribution of critical content in system-wide channels * Develop content and promotion plans for the WellStar intranet. * Manage digital screen content and process * Outline recommendation for how best to provide exposure to Senior Leadership outside of headquarters. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

• Bachelors Communications Studies/Speech Communication and Rhetoric or Bachelors Marketing or Bachelors Other

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years of corporate/organizational communications experience in developing and managing communication strategies or 2 years Wellstar communications experience Required

Required Minimum Skills:

Demonstrated business acumen and skills in translating business strategies comprehensive communication strategies Outstanding oral and written communication and editing skills with a proven talent for storytelling and shaping perception. Demonstrated ability to understand multiple, diverse stakeholders, anticipate impact of company actions on corporate reputation, and translate complex issues into clear, simple and consistent messages and themes. Experience building and leading internal communications and working collaboratively with a broad range of internal partners in a global organization. Proven ability to significantly influence stakeholders using a thoughtful communication plan to align people or groups Strong interpersonal/written communication skills aligned to the companys tone and messaging. Ability to independently structure and manage workflow and priorities Strong ability to develop accurate and detailed messaging with sensitivity and adaptability to varying tone, positioning and leadership styles. Demonstrated track record of creative programs executed to meet business objectives. Experience advising corporate leaders
