Provides basic nursing care (within scope of practice) related to adult, geriatric, and pediatric populations; measures, reports, and records vital signs to include height and weight; applies compresses and dressings; performs 12 lead EKGs, IV therapy, oropharyngeal suctions, suture removals, indwelling catheters, transports stable patients safely by stretcher or wheelchair and charts procedures. Assist with triage and rapid treatment area duties (within the scope of practice for hospital), collect lab specimens/IV placement, transport patients, chart procedures. Serve as Lead Patient Flow Coordinator (Lead) to help ensure the patient is getting to open rooms and EMS traffic is directed appropriately.

Required Minimum Education

High School Diploma General or GED General

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support
• EMT-ADV - EMT-Advanced or EMT-INT - EMT-Intermediate or EMT-BASIC - EMT-BASIC
