- The Emergency Department Tech will provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. - Responsibilities include obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing EKGs, and conducting bedside blood sugar testing. - The role involves assisting with patient transport and ensuring the safety of patients during their stay in the emergency department. - The tech will also be responsible for monitoring patients in restraint or seclusion and documenting observations as per policy. - The position requires performing various procedures using aseptic techniques, such as catheterization and phlebotomy.
