- The Emergency Department Tech Level I will provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients in the emergency department.
- Responsibilities include obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing 12-lead EKGs, and conducting bedside blood sugar testing.
- The role involves performing procedures using aseptic techniques, such as urethral catheterization and phlebotomy.
- The tech will also be responsible for monitoring patients in restraint or seclusion and documenting observations.
- The position requires the ability to operate and observe cardiac monitors to recognize arrhythmias.

- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and preferably some previous healthcare experience.
