Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior leader of Internal Communications, the Director Communications will support all internal communications for People, Culture, and Engagement that impact over 30k Wellstar team members. The Director, Internal Communications makes annual strategic plans for Communications and serves as the lead for all integrated communications. Creates executive communications and presentations for operational leaders and stakeholders. Provides leadership HR communications projects, ensuring communications reflect divisional commitments, strategic priorities, and quality requirements. Develops impactful and holistic communications programs that build the Wellstar brand internally and engage and inform team members. Provides collaborative guidance and counsel to HR leaders on integrated communications strategies to influence culture, change management and team member engagement. Ensures strategic alignment of HR communications priorities with organizational communications priorities. Serves as communications lead for story sourcing and creating for HR initiatives to highlight our team members' stories and our mission, vision, and values. Develops clear and compelling content for target audiences to create awareness of HR organizational priorities. Develops effective and audience-appropriate communications to deliver messages to team members to strengthen understanding of organization and goals, reinforce our mission, vision and values, and support team member engagement and retention. Works with HR to develop and execute communications that drive engagement, reinforce culture, and position the organization as a great place to work. Develop strategic messaging at the enterprise level that is meaningful and comprehensive for leaders. Assist HR leaders to find innovative ways to engage team members and build a shared culture. Ensure team members are aware, inspired and empowered to meet our goals. Manage and regularly contribute written content to the organization's intranet.

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in related field REQUIRED Required Minimum Experience: 10+ years of corporate/organizational communications experience in developing and managing communication strategies. Required Minimum Skills: Demonstrated business acumen and skills in translating business strategies to comprehensive communication strategies. Outstanding oral and written communication and editing skills with a proven talent for storytelling and shaping perception. Demonstrated ability to understand multiple, diverse stakeholders, anticipate impact of company actions on corporate reputation, and translate complex issues into clear, simple, and consistent messages and themes. Experience building and leading internal communications and working collaboratively with a broad range of internal partners in a global organization. Proven ability to significantly influence stakeholders using a thoughtful communication plan to align people or groups Strong interpersonal/written communication skills aligned to the company's tone and messaging. Ability to independently structure and manage workflow and priorities. Strong ability to develop accurate and detailed messaging with sensitivity and adaptability to varying tone, positioning and leadership styles Demonstrated track record of creative programs executed to meet business objectives. Experience advising corporate leaders.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

* Serves as communications lead for driving the company's culture by partnering with MarCom team, and key leaders to develop strategy, content and distribution channels (e.g. employee intranet) that support employees across the company * Provides counsel and ensures priorities and messaging are aligned and articulated in a manner consistent with overall company strategy * Co-develops best-in-class processes and protocols for all internal communications and provides tools, channels and programs that inform and engage managers and leaders * Oversees leader and manager communications programs to include training, coaching, toolkits and the creation of forums to create powerful connections between employees at all levels. * Works with HR to develop and execute communications the drive engagement, reinforces culture, and positions the organization as a great place to work * Serves as lead for internal communications to support large-scale change initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
