We are comprised of two distinct and complementary businesses, UnitedHealthcare and Optum, working to build a better health system for all. Here, your contributions matter as they will help transform health care for years to come. Make an impact with a diverse team that shares your passion for helping others. Join us to start Caring. About the Role:

In healthcare, evolution doesn't just happen. It takes innovation, imagination, and a passion for solving problems in new and better ways. And innovation is taking place at a lightning-fast pace every day at Optum.

As the fastest growing part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, we're expanding our team in Ireland and creating excellent opportunities for those who want greater purpose and more impact in their work. We'll provide the investment, support, and resources to advance your career. You'll provide the talent, ambition, and drive.

The Technology Development Program (TDP) internship at Optum includes a 10-week experience where you'll gain invaluable experience working on some of our many domains, as well as mentoring from technology leaders, networking across the technology organization and collaboration opportunities.  The program creates a cohort structure that provides a more personalized employment experience in turn creating community and increasing engagement beyond that of a traditional hire.

As an intern on our Optum Technology team, you will be provided opportunities to channel your curiosity into initiative, working alongside distinguished engineers and developers pursuing innovations that improve the health care experience for everyone. We encourage you to dive-in, explore and ask questions about creative ways to use technology to help make the health care system work like an actual system.
