You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end design execution across a portfolio of healthcare provider-facing digital products, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
- Lead cross-functional workstreams, collaborating with product, engineering, research, and business stakeholders to shape and deliver impactful user experiences
- Own the creation of user flows, wireframes, and low-fidelity prototypes to explore and validate design hypotheses through iterative feedback and testing
- Develop high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that communicate design intent clearly to stakeholders and development teams, ensuring readiness for implementation
- Co-lead research initiatives with UX researchers, shaping study goals and methodologies. Translate findings into actionable design strategies and product opportunities
- Mentor junior designers, contributing to a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and design excellence. Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement
- Present designs and insights to key stakeholders, clearly articulating how the work meets user goals and business objectives
- Partnering with business, research, product and tech teams on complex problems that lead to highly functional, accessible, elegant and engaging solutions
- Interpret analytics, voice of the customer, market feedback, site rankings and any relevant collateral as needed
- Explore emerging opportunities in the healthcare digital space, evaluate and evangelize as needed
- Be the voice of the user in prioritization, new product and feature development for Digital Products and other digital experience areas as needed
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off
- Demonstrates curiosity and growth mindset contributing to a product design environment that supports continuous learning and innovation
- Comfort in ambiguity and changing user needs with self-motivation mindset around solving complex problems
- Advocate for compliance with accessibility standards

Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with interaction design and/or UX design
- 4+ years of understanding and experience with:
- Research
- Information Architecture
- Content Strategy
- Interaction Design
- Visual Design
- 4+ years of experience with prominent industry design tools (Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Axure)
- 4+ years of experience incorporating user feedback in the design process (user research, NPS, Voice of the customer)
- 2+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
- 2+ years of experience presenting to stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a user-centered approach to design
- A portfolio showcasing UX design work, including examples of user research, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs. The portfolio should demonstrate your ability to create user-centered designs and solve complex design problems effectively
- Proven understanding of accessibility standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience building and/or utilizing personas to inform design decisions
- Experience working in healthcare
- Experience working with or on Agile teams including planning to support roadmaps, capacity, and sprint planning
- Experience working in a large corporate environment
- Information architecture experience
- Growth mindset and passion around learning new technologies including AI
- Proven track record of driving change in a large, complex matrixed environment even amid ambiguous circumstances
- Proven bias toward action and innovative big-picture thinking while improving processes and optimizing operations
- Proven excellent resource management skills
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and create relationships with individuals on and outside of your direct team
- Proven willing to learn, pivot and grow
- Proven ability to drive a team and business leaders on all initiative phases including achieving clarity on scope and deliverables

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
