Care Transitions Finance Team

This position is part of the Care Transitions Finance Team within the Home & Community FP&A organization at OptumHealth. The Care Transitions Finance team plays a critical role in driving financial excellence and providing strategic support for the business. We lead, coordinate, and consolidate month-end close and budget/forecast processes for Care Transitions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

In this role, you will partner with business and finance leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting and actionable insights that guide decision-making. Responsibilities include supporting month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as building forecasts for key KPIs and revenue. You'll analyze trends, provide recommendations, and influence operational and strategic priorities.

Beyond the numbers, your work helps align resources to improve patient care and drive sustainable business growth-making a meaningful impact on both financial performance and the quality of care delivered. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare insightful monthly financial and business performance reporting for senior management, executive leadership, and external parties
  • Create detailed operational and financial forecast and budget models that inform near-term and long-term business initiatives
  • Work closely with senior leadership to build and develop core financial analysis to drive decisions throughout the organization
  • Analyze budget variances in revenue, expense, and KPIs to help drive optimal performance
  • Initiate and execute proactive ad-hoc financial analyses that aide in strategic discussions
  • Work closely with finance leadership to deliver accurate, informative and impactful analyses to the organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • 2+ years of experience in financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Proficient Hyperion Essbase
  • Proficient in SmartView
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills and ability to synthesize and present complex information

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
