The People Business Partner will help shape and execute the People Team strategic priorities for UnitedHealth Group, creating a wealth of opportunity for an experienced business partner to contribute across a broad range of priorities, including culture building, workforce strategy, organization effectiveness, talent agenda, leadership bench strength, and employee experience.

This role will support teams within our People Team.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consulting & Coaching: Partner with leaders to develop and design strategies aligned with business outcomes
  • Organizational Development: Uses a consulting framework to improve the health and effectiveness of the organization through various methods, tools and techniques impacting business results
  • Data and Analytics: Leverages data and analytic skills to drive decision making and action
  • Talent Management: Understands the organizational talent strategy, talent plans and supply chain of internal and external talent
  • Culture and Employee Experience: Deep understanding of culture, diversity and the drivers impacting a positive employee experience
  • Business Fluency: Financial understanding and business operations knowledge
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Integrates, aligns, and embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategies within the People Strategy and all aspects of People Team Work

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of People Team (HR) experience
  • Experience working within a matrixed environment at a large, global, complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience applying data and analytics to influence decision making and business outcomes
  • Experience developing talent strategies and executing plans aligned with the culture and overall employee experience to drive business outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence in leading and driving the talent agenda, including developing a solid leadership bench
  • Experience developing and implementing workforce strategy, aligned with and driving business outcomes
  • Experience leading organization design and implementing change
  • Demonstrated understanding in business fluency and knowledge
  • Proven consulting skills across various types of critical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience serving in a business partner role representing Human Resources, providing strategic guidance and support to business units
  • Demonstrated history of positive employee experience through all aspects of People Team work

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
