This position is responsible for the overall management of a book of business of large, strategic customers. The National Account Executive role is accountable for the maintenance, growth and increased profitability of existing business, the acquisition of new business on existing accounts, customer satisfaction, and the strategic direction of assigned accounts with integrated Medical and Pharmacy business.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Take lead role in pharmacy relationship and strategy development for existing OptumRx pharmacy clients to achieve retention, profitability, and satisfaction objectives
- Define customer needs to enable company to differentiate and position for retention and growth
- Understand the competitive landscape and effectively position pharmacy management programs, participating as account management lead for pharmacy in best and final meetings, industry forums, broker, and consultant meetings
- Organize internal resources as necessary to support pharmacy growth and retention for existing clients
- Channel customer needs and expectations into the larger organization's priorities initiatives and services
- Develop and monitor client financial performance including renewal planning, negotiation, and profitability levels
- Coordinate and influence superior customer service delivery by developing and maintaining solid intercompany relationships

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of client facing management experience in the PBM, healthcare industry, Health Plan, pharmaceutical company and/or pharmacy consulting experience
- 5+ years of experience working with large employers and/or health plans
- 5+ years of business development/account management experience, preferably National Accounts, managing complex client benefit offerings
- 3+ years of new and existing client implementation experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with employer benefit consultants
- Ability to travel up to 25-35%
- Based in Central Region or West Coast
- Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with pricing and contracts
- Working knowledge of business planning and financial / underwriting acumen
- Understanding of pharmacy benefit design, formulary management and claims processes
- Ability to create and implement strategic visions for clients
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and strategic skills (internal/ external)
- Excellent influence, collaboration and listening skills
- Proven ability to execute account strategies to achieve retention, profitability, growth and satisfaction
- Proven ability to navigate a complex organizational structures
- Ability to develop trust-based partnerships with clients and internal teams
- Solid negotiation and leadership skills
- Ability to be a team player
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to influence key stakeholders
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
