The Implementation Specialist role is primarily focused on bringing online Optum's Cardiology PACS system for our customers; specifically, configuring HL7 interfaces, setting up worklist filtering and authorization, as well as customizing the various modules in our reporting application. Working in collaboration with a cohesive team, you will be the lead HL7 resource to coordinate, install, customize, troubleshoot and validate the configuration of interfaces and reports to integrate the CARD PACS system to the customer's HIS/RIS (Hospital/Radiology Information System) and other downstream systems.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with customers and internal technical team members to design, plan and implement optimal deployments of Cardiology PACS
  • Plan, coordinate and configure interfaces in a healthcare environment using HL7 and XML standards
  • Activate and customize report templates for clinical reports, including adult echo, pediatric echo, stress echo, vascular, Nuclear Medicine, and ECG modules
  • Analyze issues and resolve technical problems that may occur during implementation
  • Assist with customer testing
  • Create and update issue tickets as needed
  • Test, benchmark and verify that the implemented system is error free
  • Support the customer during go-live when system is activated for live Production use

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of IT experience working with Information Systems
  • Experience with HL7 protocol
  • Experience with Windows Server environments
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with Windows applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to work independently and under tight timelines
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security+ certification
  • Experience implementing CPACS, RIS, EMR or other clinical systems
  • Experience in CPACS application administration
  • Experience with Medical Imaging/DICOM protocol

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
