The Director of Technical Product Management for the Internal Developer Platform will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of platform capabilities that empower engineering teams across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in shaping the developer experience, driving platform adoption, and ensuring alignment with architectural standards, AI integration, and business goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of platform architecture, and a passion for improving developer productivity and satisfaction through intelligent automation and AI-enhanced workflows.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to define platform capabilities that accelerate development velocity and improve consistency
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reusable platform components
- Ensure platform solutions align with enterprise architecture, design principles, and AI strategy
- Champion developer experience by identifying pain points and driving improvements in onboarding, tooling, documentation, and support
- Integrate AI capabilities into platform services to enhance automation, code generation, observability, and decision support
- Use data-driven insights to measure platform adoption, performance, and impact on engineering outcomes
- Drive innovation by incorporating emerging technologies such as generative AI, ML-based recommendations, and intelligent agents
- Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation through launch and continuous improvement
- Influence senior leadership and advocate for platform and AI investments that support long-term business and technology goals

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered
- 8+ years of experience in technical product management, preferably in platform or infrastructure domains
- 4+ years of experience with platform architecture, cloud-native technologies, and software development lifecycle
- 4+ years of experience leading product teams and delivering enterprise-scale solutions
- 2+ years of experience with AI/ML technologies, including integration of LLMs, intelligent agents, and automation into platform services
- 2+ years of experience with AI governance, model lifecycle, and responsible AI practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep empathy for developers and a track record of improving developer experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive alignment across diverse teams
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
