This Director and their team will oversee and support risk adjustment projects for our Medicaid population.

This role will be responsible for a deep understanding of the various analytical methods and statistical models used in Medicaid risk adjustment. This includes modeling potential gaps in care, financial projections of risk score changes, staying current with risk score model changes, risk score projection, and population risk modeling.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. This role may include travel to the home office on a quarterly basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Medicaid population risk score modeling and application
  • Develop new statistical tools to determine scoring gaps
  • Model risk characteristics of new and existing Medicaid population
  • Evaluate accuracy of risk scoring model and support pricing with liability estimates
  • Mentor and develop an elite team of analysts and help them create unique solutions to complex problems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • 5+ years of actuarial or healthcare economics experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing, mentoring or leading team members
  • Familiarity with healthcare risk adjustment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASA or FSA designation
  • Experience working with actuarial concepts and methodologies in health care
  • Experience with SQL or Snowflake

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
