We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Samaritan Clinics in Moses Lake, Washington. The individual in the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) position reports to the Clinic Nursing Manager. This position works closely with all Samaritan Clinic Departments and staff in order to provide quality patient care. This position may be primarily assigned to specific medical specialty department but may be asked to work in other departments including Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, OB/Womenβs Health, Urgent Care, Podiatry, and other departments as requested.
This is a Per Diem position working various hours and days a week. In lieu of benefits, receive additional a 15% differential. Specific responsibilities include: maintaining and reviewing patient records, triaging patients, assisting with BLS measures, instructing patients in collection of samples and tests, communicating test results and instructions to patients, educating patients and caregivers about diagnostic procedures, medications, chronic disease management and treatment instructions, performing non-face to face services, ensuring proper inventorying and ordering of medical supplies, assisting with medication management, performing surgical inpatient procedures and care, and ensuring no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
Additional position qualifications/competencies by service line include: performing infection prevention and control activities, working at RVEC testing sites, assisting with casting and splinting, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care needs, initiating and/or implementing appropriate patient interventions, performing nasal pharyngeal/other specified swabs, assisting with vaccination, and floating between testing sites and Urgent Care to meet staffing demands.
Position qualifications include: current Washington State Registered Nurse license, current (Healthcare Provider [HCP] level) CPR certification, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, and experience working in a clinic setting providing support to providers in a variety of medical specialties preferred.
Competencies include: demonstrating competency on equipment listed on department specific checklist, critical thinking skills, performing actions that demonstrate accountability, demonstrating competency in ability to care for customers/patients across the age continuum, and facilitating and demonstrating communication critical to effective teamwork among various departments.
Physical requirements include: occasional prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling, extremely heavy physical effort, lift/carry up to 30 lbs, intermittent exertion when performing treatments, good reading eyesight, full visual acuity, depth perception, and color perception, and ability to communicate using verbal and/or written skills for accurate exchange of information.
