We are seeking a strategic and experienced Product Development expert to lead the definition, development, launch, evolution, and governance of Products that support OptumRx members and clients to maximize the value of their PBM benefit. Initial focus will be on a brand-new product to optimize the medication Day Supply, with opportunity in the future to expand to other aspects of benefit transparency.

This role requires solid strategic and analytical thinking skills, communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to put forward creative solutions that deliver measurable financial and clinical outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: Serve as the end-to-end owner of the Optimized Day Supply product, defining and driving its vision, roadmap, and performance metrics
  • Performance & Financial Accountability: Own P&L and drive performance against business and adoption targets
  • Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain a multi-year product strategy aligned with enterprise goals, regulatory requirements, and market needs
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Requires a solid ability to initiate collaborative discussions with a range of stakeholders including Product, Underwriting, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Reporting and more
  • Lifecycle Ownership: Lead full lifecycle management: concept, design, development, launch and continuous improvement
  • Innovation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance capability performance through automation, AI/ML, and advanced analytics
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security standards
  • Change Management: Lead adoption efforts, including training, communication, and support for business users and technical teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in product development or product management, preferably in healthcare and/or PBM
  • 5+ years working in a matrixed organization
  • 5+ years working in an Agile methodology
  • Proven solid analytical skills with experience in developing business cases, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive presence
  • Proven team facilitation skills
  • Experience with innovation, continuous improvement, and modern tech stacks
  • Demonstrated familiarity with APIs, data integration, and system interoperability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably within UnitedHealth Group
  • Experience in the Pharmacy and/or PBM industry
  • Proven readiness to adopt an "Ai-first" mindset while providing appropriate human inputs and oversight

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
