The cardiothoracic surgery department seeks a per diem NP for coverage in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit (CTICU) and CT Stepdown unit. Rotating nights and weekends. Cardiothoracic Surgery nursing at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital means tackling complex cases by utilizing rare technology to deliver quality centered patient care with a finely tuned collaborative team. Across screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care, our nurses drive the sharing of knowledge and best practices that makes life-changing differences for patients. The Nurse Practitioner for Cardiothoracic Surgery is responsible for planning, evaluating, managing, and delivering patient centered care. You will be a vital member to the Cardiothoracic Surgery team. Your direction and coordination will deeply impact the delivery of quality patient care to our patients.
Preferred Criteria:
- Previous RN or NP experience in ICU or cardiothoracic surgery/ICU preferred
Required Criteria:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- New York State Registered Nurse License and Adult, Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner License
- Board Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Salary Range: $98.5505/Hourly
