In this role, you will:

• Observe patient's condition, report abnormal conditions to staff nurse and records appropriate documentation in patient's records.
• Measure and record patient height and weight, performs routine vision and hearing examinations, and takes pulse and blood pressure readings.
• Draw blood from patients and/or performs finger sticks and obtains other specimens as requested by physician or registered nurse.
• Performs EKGs
• Assist with diagnostic procedures using aseptic principles in creating and maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
• Use technical skills regarding positioning, wound care, and dressings.
• Maintain stock items for examination and blood drawing rooms, forms used by clinical staff, etc.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.

This is a full time Monday-Friday 40-hour workweek. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, hours may vary. Located at 211 S Division St, Peekskill, NY 10566.

May be required to travel/work at other Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed at Cortlandt Manor, Croton-on Hudson & Cold Spring.

Preferred Criteria:

• Graduate of a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Associate Program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant

Required Criteria:

• 1 + years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferably in a surgical practice setting.
• High School diploma or GED

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range: $27.00-$32.40/Hourly
