The Clinical Team Leader performs direct patient care as the charge nurse and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment. Requirements include a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN required, completion of charge nurse training and competencies, current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license, clinical course certifications consistent with RN requirements for specific clinical area, and advanced specialty certification or agreement to obtain within 2 years.
Must have OR experience. Responsibilities include providing front line leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, developing a plan for unit staffing based on patient acuity/care needs, overseeing day to day operations on the designated shift, monitoring workflow and adjusting staffing accordingly, coordinating and facilitating efficient patient flow, assisting the manager in achieving and sustaining department and organizational objectives, participating in department specific initiatives and process improvement projects, participating in peer interviews and providing feedback for employee evaluations, assisting with occurrence investigations, and other duties as assigned.
