The Clinical Team Leader performs direct patient care as the charge nurse and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment. Requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing, completion of charge nurse training and competencies, a current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license, clinical course certifications, and advanced specialty certifications or agreement to obtain within two years. Responsibilities include providing front line leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, developing a plan for unit staffing based on patient acuity/care needs, monitoring workflow and adjusting staffing accordingly, coordinating and facilitating efficient patient flow, assisting the manager in achieving department and organizational objectives, participating in department specific initiatives, and assisting with occurrence investigations.
