Radiology Tech Assistant
The Radiology Tech Assistant supports the needs of the Radiology team with the use of the Radiology Information System, basic computer skills, and excellent communication skills.
Essential Functions:
- Organizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly removes linen.
- Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting patients to and from Radiology that are not requiring patient monitor or high flow oxygen.
- Properly operates stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs.
- Reviews daily department schedules in order to work efficiently with the Radiologic team members.
- Maintains office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and informs team leader when supplies need to be ordered.
- Other duties as assigned that are deemed necessary for department operations.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Required Licensing & Certifications:
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
Experience:
1 year of patient care experience (preferred)
Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
