This role performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. This is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.

Licensing/Certification:
Limited Scope Radiology Licensure or General Machine X-Ray Operator Licensure per state requirement (required)
BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to independent patient care)
Education:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Must be a student in final year or graduate in a formal radiologic technology training program (preferred)
Work Experience:
1 year of healthcare or clerical physician practice experience (preferred)
Training:
EPIC Electronic Health Record (preferred)

Patient Population:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.
