Director, External Communications - Remote Eligible

Become a Director of Corporate Communications

The Director of Corporate Communications works closely with senior executives on external communications, corporate reputation, media, and public relations. The director provides strategic advice and guidance to an internal team of Humana associates, as well as external public relations agency partners, to help position each business as they pursue performance and growth goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on external communications, public relations, and corporate reputation.
• Proven experience in complex business environments and regulatory industries.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare sector.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder communications and build relationships with diverse audiences.
• Experience in crisis communications and media relations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medicaid or Medicare experience

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $168,000 - $231,000 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
