✨ About The Role
- The Specialty Pharmacist - PRN is responsible for performing the duties of a licensed pharmacist.
- This role includes ensuring adherence to laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
- The pharmacist will engage in consultations with prescribers regarding pharmaceutical care.
- Responsibilities include maintaining quality assurance procedures and managing the inventory of controlled substances.
- The pharmacist will also dispense and compound drugs, as well as assist in the management of infusion-related equipment.
- The position may require travel to different worksites as necessary.
- The work schedule will vary, typically requiring 1-3 days per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm CST.

- A successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm D.
- The individual should have at least 1 year of experience working as a Pharmacist in a clinical or home health pharmacy service.
- Candidates must possess a current active unrestricted license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
- Multi-state licensure is required if providing services in multiple states.
- The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with prescribers and providing information to patients.
- Experience in managing pharmacy technicians and ensuring quality assurance in pharmacy operations is important.
- The ability to work a varying PRN schedule and occasionally be on-call is necessary.
