Overview

Pediatric Specialty Care has an immediate opening for a Director of Nursing (RN).This position is ideal for a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) leader looking to embrace a smaller facility and provide clinical direction for the pediatric population.The Director of Nursing (RN) is extremely important to the success of Pediatric Specialty Care as you will be providing direct support to the staff that serves our patients. This position creates relationships that span beyond clinical and nursing care with the families and the nurses in our facility. It is a responsibility and privilege to change the lives of these families and the effect of nursing care on their lives is truly immeasurable. These relationships are a vital aspect to the success of our agency, the Director of Nursing will establish and maintain compliance with state regulations and as well as our own high standards for the level of care provided to our patients.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities OverviewProviding leadership and direction for the delivery of care and serviceDirecting the overall operations and ongoing activities of the Nursing DepartmentParticipating in facility admissionsServing as a mentor, a leader, and a role modelPromoting excellent community relationsServing as a member of various internal and external committeesCoordinating the planning, initiation, and completion of special projectsCoordinating/creating the staff schedulingRemaining flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignmentsSupervising and reviewing the RN Case Management teamStrong Communication skillsPositive interactions with staffManaging patients' data and medical recordsField Staff DevelopmentCreating and Maintaining relationships with physician's, patients and family membersProcess development management pertaining to Nursing teamOther tasks, as assigned

Qualifications

Must have a current Pennsylvania RN LicenseBachelor's degree5 or more years of experience in related positionPediatric experience is strongly preferredThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
