The Compliance RN supports the hospice program by ensuring documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and overall clinical quality. This position serves as a liaison between the clinical teams, Medical Directors, and the compliance department, including conducting audits, supporting process improvement efforts, and promoting adherence to CMS and CHAP standards.
Perform clinical and compliance audits related to admissions, documentation, and ongoing care
Review and verify records for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
Communicate audit findings, request corrections, and support staff education as needed
Assist with preparation for CHAP surveys and internal/external
Contribute to quality initiatives and QAPI projects through data collection and reporting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to maintain compliance and ensure best practices
Support ongoing process improvements to strengthen documentation quality and operational efficiency
Support field team as needed with shadow visits to support accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance charting
Other duties as assigned by Director of Clinical Services
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, in good standing
Minimum 2 years of hospice, home health, or quality/compliance experience
Strong understanding of CMS hospice regulations and CHAP accreditation
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving
Proficient in EMR systems (MatrixCare experience preferred)
