β¨ About The Role
- Responsible for communicating changes in patient's condition to the Director of Recreational Therapy and interdisciplinary treatment team
- Provide feedback to the treatment team regarding patient response to therapy, treatment interventions, and therapeutic objectives
- Conduct assessments in psychosocial/leisure and recreation skills development/deficiency
- Document interventions in a timely manner and ensure they align with the patient's plan of care
- Utilize advanced knowledge of counseling and therapeutic concepts to determine therapeutic services for patients
β‘ Requirements
- Experienced Recreational Therapist with at least 1-2 years of direct patient care experience in a public or private institution
- Must hold a valid Photo ID Driverβs License or Passport and possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Skilled in providing assessment in psychosocial/leisure and recreation skills development/deficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary treatment team and adapt therapeutic interventions based on patient's plan of care
- Proficient in teaching coping skills, stress management techniques, and promoting a balanced leisure lifestyle
