Our cardiac catheterization lab is a high acuity cath lab specializing in percutaneous interventional procedures of the heart. Procedures include angioplasty, stent placement, rotoblators, peripheral studies, interventions, and structural heart repairs. BTMC has a very robust Structural Heart program and performs procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement and left atrial appendage closures. BTMC has 2 interventional cardiology suites, 1 multipurpose interventional/EP suite, 1 dedicated EP suite, and 1 hybrid OR. The cath lab team is comprised of highly skilled professionals that include special procedure technicians, registered nurses and interventional cardiologists. The RN is an integral part of the team and is responsible for many duties in the cath lab, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and documenting the case. Under the direction of the physician, the RN is responsible for procedural sedation and maintaining patient safety during the procedure.

Schedule: 3 12's, Monday-Friday

Night, weekend and holiday call requirement (currently it is 1 weekend per month (weekend counts for 3 shifts Fri-Sun) and 1-2 shifts per week, 1 major and 1 minor holiday. It is currently about 8 call shifts per month. Please note, we offer call auction where the staff gets to essentially choose what days they are on call.)

You will also have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling model for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.
