Join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Surgery department at Banner Children’s Hospital at Desert and be part of our amazing team of professionals! Our state of the art facility and department specialize in providing excellent care to patients with diverse range of childhood cancer and blood disorders, and for pediatric patient recovering from a wide variety of surgical procedures. Our unit consists of an active 24 bed unit with diverse patient populations, with a focus on a family centered care model with an interdisciplinary team approach. Our care team includes Pediatric hematologist/Oncologists, Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Surgeons, Nutritionists, Case Management, Social Services, PT/OT, Pharmacists, and Child-Life Specialists. We are a member and active participant in the Children’s Oncology Group. As one of Arizona’s largest and most comprehensive hospitals we are recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of Phoenix’s Best Hospitals.

As a Registered Nurse in our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Surgery department, you will have the opportunity to care for pediatric patients spanning from neonate to adult with a diverse range childhood cancer and blood disorders, as well as patients receiving care from our surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, plastics, maxillofacial, neurosurgical, otolaryngology, and pediatric general surgery. Our dedicated Registered Nurses are actively involved in department shared leadership, quality/safety and process improvement teams, and receive support for completion of APHON certification program as soon as it is available.
