Our Outpatient Observation team oversees about 50% of patients from the ER who are not quite ready to return home, but do not need to be inpatient. This team is fast paced, has quick patient turnover, and is a wonderful stepping stone for nurses who would like to gain experience to allow for growth into the ED, PCU, and other acute areas of the hospital.
