Banner Thunderbird utilizes a sophisticated electronic medical records system to ensure better, safer care for you and your baby. For newborns facing serious health challenges, Banner Thunderbird offers a 45-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Our multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists, nurses, neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists partner to provide the highest level of care available in the West Valley to our newborn patients. Very premature babies are assigned a developmental specialist. These individuals are specially trained registered nurses who evaluate each baby's unique strengths and challenges, then develop an individualized care plan to get baby strong and healthy enough to go home. To encourage bonding, parents of babies in our NICU can enjoy unlimited visiting hours. When they need a break, families can retreat to the NICU Family Lounge, featuring a couch, television, computer and a kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave and toaster. This is a full time Day shift position. Enjoy 18% night shift differential and a flat rate of $3 weekend differential when applicable. You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage.
