The Banner Health New Nurse Experience (NNE) Program at Banner Health has received the highest accreditation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP). Banner Health's NNE provides a collaborative learning environment where you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and transition from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health.

The Banner Health New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.

Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. We offer all our New Grads multiple Career Pathways and development opportunities to achieve your long-term career goals. Whether you are wanting to go into a specialty unit, leadership roles, non-bedside nursing opportunities, or any other sector of nursing – we will help you get there! The expectation is that you will stay on your NNE unit for at least 12 months to get a full and comprehensive training experience! New Grads will also need to live within a reasonable commute distance of the facility they are hired into.

Most new nurses will work three 12-hour shifts, which will include weekend and holiday rotations with other staff members, Night shift 7:00pm-7:30a.

Program Activities Include:

• Clinical experiences with a preceptor
• Training in our state-of-the-art Banner Simulation Center
• Competency and skills assessment and verification
• Orientation to the Cerner electronic medical health record system
• Patient care skills lab that provides hands-on experience with equipment
• e-Learning modules
• Resources for professional and personal development

Requirements to Apply Online:

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
• No more than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

This is a full time, benefitted, and paid position. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential. All New Grad RN positions are eligible for Banner Health's "Total Rewards Compensation Package", which includes Health/Dental/Vision insurance (if employee desires), PTO/Sick time accrual, 401K, and a long list of other benefits. Benefits begin the 1st of the month following your start date.

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPCU) unit is a 23-bed inpatient cardiac monitored unit. In your role as a CVPCU RN, you will primarily care for surgical cardiac, thoracic, and vascular with some medical cardiology. Our clinical team prides themselves on strong teamwork and clinical expertise within a patient-centered culture. Our nurses are specialty trained to care for this patient population with a focus on growth and mentoring while delivering quality care and customer service to our patients.
