Our Banner Boswell Ortho MS PCU is a combined acute care specialty unit serving both Medical Surgical and Progressive Care patients as part of our Progress in Place initiative. Our 5A/5B is a 41 bed unit specializing in the care of post operative orthopedic patients including pre and post-op surgical care for a wide range of orthopedic cases ranging from total joint replacements to fractures. As a RN on our unit, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of our patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. 5D is a 20 bed orthopedics and GI post-surgical Medical/Surgical unit, dedicated to the care of postoperative gastrointestinal surgeries. This inpatient unit specializes in the care of GI patients including pre and post-op surgical care for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders as well as general medical/surgical overflow.

This opportunity is for a day shift position. You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage, and enjoy an 18% night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
