Banner Health is currently seeking an RN Clinical Support Analyst I responsible for supporting the clinical applications needs of the Engagement & Support AZ Central team. This clinical applications support team member is responsible for providing informatics expertise and resources for assigned acute and ambulatory areas. They will be providing on-going clinical user support for various clinical and business operations teams. This position supports the organization's vision and direction for computer systems, workflow design, data management, and related processes. The RN Clinical Support Analyst I serve as a liaison between the clinical staff, clinical education team, Nursing/Medical Informatics, and the Clinical Applications IT team to communicate user needs and facilitate system optimization.
The typical schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Occasional evening and/or night shifts required for project support.
Prior experience in informatics is preferred. EHR experience, Oracle Cerner preferred.
The primary location for this role will be on-site Banner University Medical Center Phoenix however may also be required to cover other AZ facilities as needed.

This position will serve as the subject matter expert for complex clinical workflows as they relate to systems and processes. They will apply nursing standards as they collaborate with IT teams and user groups to develop and deploy best practices. Incorporates critical thinking and knowledge of clinical decision making into the support of software and IT processes. Assist with the clinical consensus group development and implementation of current and future state workflows. Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop best practices based on their broad understanding across clinical venues and user groups. Collaborate to increase efficiencies and promote continuity of care through technology and workflow improvements.
Internal Customers: All levels of management and staff, medical staff, and other healthcare members for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care, ensuring effective communication systems and facilitating decision making in clinical practice.
Incumbents must possess knowledge and experience equivalent to completion of a bachelor's degree in healthcare related field or related business discipline; and have an active RN license for a clinical position in a practicing state.
Must have two to three years experience working within a complex and diverse health care setting.
Must be proficient in the use of system office applications. Must possess a basic understanding of integrated clinical systems. Must have highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly. This position requires the ability to convey messages and thoughts clearly to a diverse audience, using both verbal and written mediums. Requires the ability to promote change among large groups of workers. Requires the ability to coordinate information and activities, work under stress of deadlines and frequent interruptions, and to possess analytical problem-solving skills. Requires the maintenance of familiarity with clinical care processes and information technology.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
