Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix named to list of 100 Great Hospitals in America. As a Cardiac Cath Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to participate in our Nursing Clinical Ladder Program.
Our Cardiac Catherization Lab is high acuity, specializing in percutaneous interventional procedures of the heart. Procedures include angioplasty, stent placement, rotoblators, peripheral studies and interventions, and structural heart repairs. BUMC-P has a very robust Structural Heart program and performs procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter mitral valve repair and left atrial appendage closures are done in this area. BUMC-P has 4 interventional cardiology suites, 2 EP suites and 2 hybrid OR's. The Cath lab team is comprised of highly skilled professionals that include special procedure technicians, registered nurses and interventional cardiologists. The RN is an integral part of the team and is responsible for many duties in the Cath lab, including circulating, monitoring and documenting the case. Under the direction of the physician, the RN is responsible for procedural sedation and maintaining patient safety during the procedure.
Schedule: 24 hours per week, there is no current on-call requirement but is optional at the choosing of the individual clinician. Twelve-hour shifts (7:00am โ 7:30pm), Saturdays and Sundays only. Holidays only applicable if they fall upon Saturday or Sunday. We are currently offering weekend staff members to receive a premium of 30% weekend differential.
Candidate must have at least 1 to 2 years of Cath Lab experience. Training will may vary slightly per the individual and level of experience. It will mostly likely be scheduled two days per week for one month.
