As a Cardiac Cath Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to participate in our Nursing Clinical Ladder Program.

Our Cardiac Catherization Lab is high acuity, specializing in percutaneous interventional procedures of the heart. Procedures include angioplasty, stent placement, rotoblators, peripheral studies and interventions, and structural heart repairs. BUMC-P has a very robust Structural Heart program and performs procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter mitral valve repair and left atrial appendage closures are done in this area. BUMC-P has 4 interventional cardiology suites, 2 EP suites and 2 hybrid OR's. The Cath lab team is comprised of highly skilled professionals that include special procedure technicians, registered nurses and interventional cardiologists. The RN is an integral part of the team and is responsible for many duties in the Cath lab, including circulating, monitoring and documenting the case. Under the direction of the physician, the RN is responsible for procedural sedation and maintaining patient safety during the procedure.

Schedule: 2 10's Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am- 5:30pm; weekend night call from 5:30pm-7:00am. Receive an 18% night differential, $3 weekend differential and call pay when applicable.

Must have at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience. Orientation and training will be 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, for the first 3 weeks. If you are a New Graduate Nurse with less than 12 months of experience, please visit the main job search page and use keywords RN New Grad.
