- The position involves planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and implementing nursing care services for pre-operative and post-surgical patients. - Responsibilities include monitoring patients' heart rates, blood pressure, and managing pain and nausea post-anesthesia. - The role requires assessing patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational needs and formulating appropriate care plans. - The nurse will work within both pre-op holding and the post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring continuity of care. - Documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and evaluations must be timely and in accordance with organizational policies.
