- The Medical Director for Pharmacy Services will provide strategic leadership to improve patient safety and quality of care. - This role involves overseeing quality of care concerns and medication safety events, collaborating with key team members. - The position requires participation in team safety huddles and leading meetings focused on clinical quality and performance improvement. - The candidate will act as an administrative clinical liaison, interfacing with physician leaders and other stakeholders. - Responsibilities include identifying performance improvement opportunities and developing action plans to enhance patient care. - The role requires maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management to facilitate change. - The position is part-time, requiring 24 hours a week during Arizona business hours, with occasional evening or weekend availability.

⚡ Requirements

- The ideal candidate will have a Medical Doctorate or Doctor of Osteopathy degree and appropriate board certification. - Experience in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine (Hospitalist), or as an Intensivist provider is preferred. - Strong leadership experience, such as serving as a Lead Hospitalist, Chief of Staff, or Medical Director, is essential. - The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively interact with various stakeholders. - Proven experience in conflict resolution and conducting crucial conversations is necessary for this role. - The successful candidate will have a track record of collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including nurses, pharmacists, and therapists. - Familiarity with leveraging data to identify performance improvement opportunities is crucial for success in this position.
