Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. These positions are great way to start your career with Banner Health. The EKG tech will be responsible for providing EKGs at all locations for inpatients and outpatients, charting EKGs, reconciling EKGS in the pacs system. The applicant but be able to provide proof of their completed courses in EKG and 12 Lead to be considered.
Schedule: This will be a blend of some 10 hour days (starting at 7a) 12 hour days (starting at 5:00am), and 8 hour days (starting 8am). Weekend and holiday rotation required. No call requirement.
Location: The EKG Tech will work at different locations, between BUMCT, BUMCS and NC. It will be a blend of clinic and hospital work but primarily hospital.

POSITION SUMMARY This position performs basic prescribed non-invasive cardiovascular procedures to patients. This position analyzes data during the recording, making certain that the information being obtained is valid and interpretable. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Internal customers: All levels of nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Completion of courses in EKG and 12 Lead. Certification for BLS required. This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with one year of experience in a relevant clinical environment. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, basic mathematical skills, analyze data and solve basic problems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience/training in non-invasive cardiology procedures. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
